Planned Route

The Project TED team intends to cycle an average of 100 miles per day for nine days – but it’s the nights that might be the toughest challenge, with special receptions being laid on by rugby clubs along the route.

Day 1 – Saturday, 22 September Depart John O’Groats for Inverness. The plan is to cycle from 7.00am to 9.30am before a break. Resume at 10.15am to 1.30pm. After a break for lunch, resume cycling at 2.15pm to 4.30pm. On the first night the ‘boys’ will be guests of honour at a reception being put on by Inverness & Highland RFC.


Day 2
(23 Sept) Depart Inverness for Perth. Reception by Perthshire RFC.

Day 3 (24 Sept) Depart Perth to Edinburgh Reception TBA.

Day 4 (25 Sept) Depart Edinburgh for Penrith. Reception at Kendle & Penrith RFC.

Day 5 (26 Sept) Depart Penrith for Manchester Reception at Sales Sharks.

Day 6 (27 Sept) Depart Manchester for Birmingham Reception at Worcester Warriors.

Day 7 (28 Sept) Depart Birmingham for Bristol Reception at Bristol RFC.

Day 8 (29 Sept) Depart Bristol for Launceston Collection at Exeter Chiefs v Bedford Blues game Reception at Launceston RFC.

Day 9 (30 Sept) Depart Launceston for Land’s End.
